Position on Fraud

RAB is aware of the extent fraud can take place in our industry and promotes integrity in vehicle repair and customer relations.

Our Position: RAB will not associate with any person or activity involving fraudulent intentions.

Our position on fraud extends to all parties including insurance companies, suppliers, customers, and our employees. We will not participate in activities commonly referred to as saving parts, cost shifting, double sheeting, misrepresenting the extent of damage by deliberate alteration of a damaged vehicle, installing an alternate part when a more expensive part has been stipulated, misrepresenting prior damage as part of a new claim, or any other action that has the effect of misleading one or more parties for the benefit of another.

Should we ever suspect fraud, or encounter a misleading act, we will immediately report it to the appropriate authorities which may include the insurance company or the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC).
