If your car was in an accident in the 1920s, you had to take it to the town blacksmith for repairs. Russ Karels made history in 1924, by opening Regina Auto Body, the first dedicated collision repairer in Western Canada. When the company began, much of its buggy repair work involved the use of wood and horsehair. More than 90 years later, the industry has changed beyond recognition. While Regina Auto Body remains in the same location, the building has undergone numerous changes to transform from an old fashioned body shop to a modern collision repair facility. Now a third-generation family business, Regina Auto Body continues to fulfill Russ’ vision through constant innovation and improvement.
